This was the basis of our family home evening lesson tonight. The kids start school tomorrow and really the most important thing (besides trying their best to learn of course) I try to teach them is to be kind to others. To look around and notice if someone needs a friend. To stand up for someone if they are teased. To not make jokes or comments about someone for a laugh, or to look cool with their friends. I told them that to be a kind and loving person is what would make me the most proud of them. I really think that loving others is the most important thing in life. It is what I hope I teach my children more than anything else.
