seminary rocks!

Jacob started seminary this year, and this became a common scene above...curled up on the couch cozy reading the scriptures (they are studying the New Testament this year.) Jacob really loves seminary. He really feels the spirit every day when they study the scriptures. The spirit has motivated him to want to learn more and more. Every fast Sunday we have our own family testimony meeting before we eat dinner. It is so awesome to hear a 14 year old boy who has such a strong and pure testimony. In his testimony he said how he knows that the seminary program was inspired by God. He appreciates his teacher so much. Jacob loves a good teacher ( I am like that too). He also always comments in his testimony that he knows that what his teachers at church teach are true and if he can follow what they teach he will be happy and live with Heavenly Father again. Jacob is 14, the same age that Joseph Smith was when he really wanted to know the truth about God and which church to join. I see that same kind of strength in Jacob. One that seeks truth and will follow it when he finds it. So keep up the good work Brother Nielsen. You are making a huge difference in this 14 year old boy's life. His isn't even complaining about waking up at 5a.m. (Seminary starts at 5:45a.m, and they take the bus to school from there). What an awesome way to start the day before going to school. I am so proud of these kids who have the discipline to go. You Rock!!!

Awesome.... can we do an arranged marriage and have him marry my 14 year old daughter?? 'Cause all that SCripture reading and Testimony bearing is going to make him a great husband and daddy one day. :-)
