Kelly's challenge-my house in the morning light!
Frightening, isn't it? I guess it is HALLOWEEN! oooohh. this picture is for the people who think that my house is always clean. This is called the remains of a crazy monday at my house. Dance lessons, grocery shopping, big dinner, family home evening with lots of halloween activities, this mornings rush for costumes for the school parade, and last but not least... a mom too tired to pick it all up. Aren't you glad you aren't me this morning. I am doing good at my diet though! and I lifted weights yesterday (a part of why I am so tired). I made a new meal last night too. Saurbraten. Not a huge success, but definitely a fun new taste. I liked it.
My Favorite Part about this MOrning!!
We started a "game" yesterday with Rebecca and Rachel. They earn coins that can then be used towards rewards they chose when they overcome some of their challenges. Rachel's is being kind to Rebecca, and Rebecca's is controlling her temper and not being grumpy. Can I tell you I have just had the best hours of my life since we started this. Our whole home is happy. Everyone wants to join in and be positive and helpful. These are the days when it all comes together. Not the house but the wonderful children who live in it!! As you can see Rebecca is glowing. there is nothing she loves more than to be loved by Rachel. Rachel whispered to me as we got in the car, "I figured out the secret to Rebecca not having tantrums, it is me being kind to her." Y EAHHHHH!! She figured it out!!Rebecca just needs lots of love and she is such a JOY!

My talented girls??!!
havasupai
this is the awesome scout hike down into the grand canyon that Dave and Jacob went on. The pictures are amazing!
Jacob lost his footing and slid down the rock into the water. ouch! It was alot harder hike than they all thought. The picture of Dave and one of the counselors from our Bishop bric sleeping is classic. He said that was the best nap that he ever had. this was the first thing they did when they got down there before setting up a tent or anything. They pumped up the air mattresses and crashed. This one was jacob's but Brother Swainston bargained him for it. He got a good deal. All it took was the promise of a shake.
Jacob flag football player extraordinaire!
this is jacob's favorite picture from the game this saturday. they won 36 to 6. Jacob ran in two of their touchdowns, caught and ran for 60 yards on the other two, and threw the remaining two. He totally dominates. Dave was so proud. The other team coach was getting so mad because Jacob would pull the flags on their quarterback almost everytime. So he took out a kid for not gaurding him well enough. Dave related this to me and with a smile says how can you punish the kid for not being able to see a ghost, or something like that. the only time the other team got a touchdown was when Jacob was out for two plays. can you tell i am quite the proud mom as well. the top pic shows how many kids are always gaurding him, he gets past them too. I know dad you would expect nothing less from a Reneer. ha
